I was born in Medellín and have witnessed the real estate boom over the past decade as the city’s popularity has skyrocketed. I’ve seen friends make great deals and, unfortunately, others end up with bad ones. The difference often comes down to getting the right advice and having the right network of professionals.
I’ve been working as a real estate agent since 2016. Two years ago, I decided to shift my focus to helping foreigners who were getting caught up in the poorly organized real estate market. My goal is to minimize the risks and stress of buying property in Colombia.

Howdy! I'm from Houston, Texas and I'm here to help you adjust and grow 🤠
I turned 40 and decided to start my new life in Medellín, Colombia. I was so happy with my experience, I decided to form a team and we called it Checkmate to help you, too.
How it Works 🔍
I moved here January 1st. It's August 16th as of writing this. In these 8 months, I've enrolled my daughters in school, bought a property, fully renovated it and now I have a Colombian investor visa, local bank account, tourism permit, health insurance and a fully functioning home and Airbnb. Fast transition! Couldn't be happier! You can do it, too.
